Institutional Computing

Tara Weeks, Director of Learning Resources
Carl Ingram, Computer Labs Manager
Daryl Ham, Lab Coordinator

Instructional Computing assists students and faculty with the use of computer technology in learning and instruction. The college's computer labs are open to all students, faculty, and staff. Lab coordinators are available in each lab to help users prepare and print class assignments, access online courses, use Blackboard, conduct Internet research, work with course-specific software and the college's portal.

Instructional Computing also offers Digital Literacy workshops that help students use information and communication resources to locate, evaluate, create, and share information, requiring both cognitive and technical skills. These workshops cover areas such as Blackboard, research papers, and citation formatting. Workshops are offered throughout the year and can be found on the library’s event page. Class and individual Digital Literacy instruction can also be requested by contacting Daryl.Ham@gvltec.edu.

All lab hours are subject to change and may vary by semester. Refer to the Instructional Computing website for the current schedule and additional information.
