Human Services Associate in Applied Science
Program Description
The HUS program prepares graduates for entry level positions in the helping profession. The program is not an online program and requires face-to-face classes most every semester. Students will learn the necessary theoretical and practical skills that will enable graduates to provide basic human service care (non-medical). This program is for those interested in counseling, social work, and psychology.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Human Services Department is to provide students with course work, skills and practical experience that prepare graduates for entry-level generalist human service positions and/or for continued study at the baccalaureate level.

Requirements for Completion
- All Human Services courses must be completed with a “C” or better in order to count toward graduation.
- Criminal background check is a course requirement of HUS 231.
